I was home in the next twenty minutes. I thanked the driver, went upstairs and rang the bell. I wished my uncle, aunt, and my little sister and quickly headed to my room. The next minute, I received a call from my parents. It was still New Year’s Eve in London. We wished each other and chatted for a while, after which I hung up.

One call I was eagerly waiting for was from Rutuja. I called her up again and got the same response. I checked the time again. It was 1.30 a.m.

•Now, who the hell is so important that she had to talk to for more than an hour? my heart cried.

•Didn’t she even think of me and realise that she hadn’t wished me?

•Didn’t she check the missed calls?

•And forget those missed calls! She should have at least thought of me and called me once.

•Don’t I hold any importance in her life?
